Legendary chef and founding father of Southwestern cuisine, Chef Stephan Pyles is known throughout the DFW area for his creative and sophisticated Southern dishes. Chef Pyles has garnered numerous awards including the AAA Five Diamond Award and being the first person in the Southwest to win a James Beard Award for ‘Best Chef’, among many others. Pyles also received the Humanitarian of the Year Award for Share Our Strength and was named one of the 20 most influential Texans by Texas Monthly.
Pyles currently has several concepts in the Dallas area including Stampede 66, and Sky Canyon, which is located at Dallas Love Field and at DFW International Airport Terminal D, now also joined by Stampede 66 Express. Pyles opened Flora Street Café at KPMG Plaza at HALL Arts in the Dallas Arts District in Summer 2016. This new endeavor offers Elevated Texas Cuisine in an intimate environment showcasing food as theater and the concept supports the Dallas Arts District. Congratulations to Chef Stephan Pyles!

Cirque du Soleil is returning to the Dallas area in February with their most acclaimed touring show, KURIOS – Cabinet of Curiositites. KURIOS will premiere under the iconic blue-and-yellow Big Top on February 17, 2017 and will run through mid-March. Directed by Michel Laprise, the story is about a Seeker who discovers that in order to glimpse the marvels that lie just below the surface, we must first learn to close our eyes. In his larger than life curio cabinet, the Seeker is convinced that there is a hidden world– a place where the craziest ideas and the grandest dreams await. A collection of otherworldly characters suddenly steps into his makeshift mechanical world. As spring and summer weather arrives in DFW, Mi Dia From Scratch, a concept by celebrated Chef Gabriel DeLeon that blends traditional Mexico City recipes with modern Tex-Mex and Santa Fe flavors, is a go-to patio destination in one of Plano’s latest developments, West Plano Village, on the east side of the Dallas North Tollway and Parker Road. The 6,000-square-foot contemporary restaurant features a modern southwestern bar with an impressive “Tequila Tower,” consisting of more than 120 tequilas, and a spacious covered patio with comfortable lounge furniture, several mounted TVs, multiple heaters, three giant fans and the relaxing sounds of the trickling fountains nearby.
The concept, spearheaded by Chef-Managing Partner DeLeon, is the second Mi Dia From Scratch location in the DFW Metroplex, following the Grapevine location which opened in October, 2011. DeLeon takes much of his inspiration from his passion for travel throughout the world to bring authenticity to his dishes. Mi Dia From Scratch is named for DeLeon’s use of authentic ingredients in creating unique dishes by hand inspired by his training with renowned Mexican Chef Patricia Quintana in Mexico City.

LASCO Enterprises was created in 2003 when CEO Jerry Lasco opened The Tasting Room at Uptown Park, Houston’s first wine bar to also sell retail wine.
